Complaint against the Migration Agency for locking detainees in their rooms at the detention centre in Mölndal. Criticism of the Agency for lack of documentation of the measure

The Parliamentary Ombudsman has reviewed an incident at the detention centre in Mölndal, during which the Migration Agency decided to lock around ten detainees in their rooms. The Migration Agency described the incident as a riot-like situation. Based on this, the Parliamentary Ombudsman determines that the measure was necessary and justifiable and there is therefore no reason to criticise the Migration Agency for locking them in. However, the Parliamentary Ombudsman establishes there was a lack of documentation of the measure in individual cases and the Agency is criticised for this.
