Criticism against IVO (The Health and Social Care Inspectorate) for slow processing of presentations on disclosure of public documents

 The complainant has made two requests to IVO to have access to public documents. It took ten days respectively almost five weeks before the agency disclosed the documents. The Chief Parliamentary Ombudsman for JO is criticising IVO for not processing the requests with the expediency that was required according to the Freedom of the Press Act. However, he has a positive view on the actions that IVO has taken to shorten its processing times in disclosure cases and assumed that the agency will be able to live up to the expediency requirement in the future.
